What Features Does Guns N' Roses Have?

Following a montage of the band doing their thing, the game interface loads up. It comprises slick graphics that, although on the cartoonish side, accurately depict the band members. The reels are set against a concert background and adorned with objects relating to Guns N' Roses. Disappointingly, this doesn’t extend to renderings of illegal substances and/or half-naked groupies.

Instead, Netent have inexplicably included illustrations of album covers, band emblems, and even guns and roses. We despair. For the most part, the graphics and animations are fine, although the shuffling crowd looks like it's made up of extras from the Walking Dead.

The Guns N’ Roses slot gameplay includes wild substitutions, free spins, a multiplier, and a special Crowd Pleaser feature. The Wild and Expanding Wilds are signified by a Guns N’ Roses symbol and appear randomly on the reels during normal gameplay. They expand to cover each reel, substituting all symbols apart from the Appetite for Destruction Wild Feature, the Wild found in the Legend Spins feature, and the Stacked Wild overlay in the Encore Free Spins game. We’ll now look at these in a bit more depth.

For the base game, there are three randomly triggered features:

Legend spins – this may be activated at any point and rewards 3 Guns ‘N Roses slot-free spins. Each spin turns one of the band members into an expanding wild feature. For spin one, Axel Rose becomes wild on reel 3 which is followed by Duff McKagan on spin two who becomes wild on reels 1 and 5. Slash represents the third spin and turns reels 2 and 4 completely wild.

Appetite for Destruction – this feature is illustrated by a cross and four skull symbol overlay depicting the band members. It covers 5 symbols from reels 2 to 4 and rewards players with a free spin in which the wild can land fully or partially on screen. Players lucky enough to land this wild in the middle of the game screen receive wins of more than 30 times their original bet.

Solo Multiplier – the solo multiplier multiplies a winning pay-line from x4 to x10 and is triggered by matching at least three symbols. However, it doesn’t apply to wilds.

Landing three or more vinyl symbols brings up a wheel of fortune game. From here, players pick one of three bonus features: encore free spins, a crowd-pleaser click me bonus, and a coin win feature.

The encore free spins bonus awards 10 free spins and is signified by a band member symbol which appears as a stacked wild on one of the three middle reels for each free spin.

The crowd-pleaser is a ‘pick me’ styled bonus that consists of three levels. Guns N' Roses players need to click three musical instruments with the goal of acquiring enough points to reach the next level. Those who manage to advance get another three picks to reach the final level which pays x2 the total number of coins collected. Each level rewards a free spin symbol – acquiring all three activates the encore free spins bonus although this is exceedingly unlikely.

Finally, the coin win feature rewards players with prizes ranging from 10 to 30 times their stake.

Guns N’ Roses Slot Free Play

The Guns N’ Roses slot can be played for free on most online casinos – some don’t even require registration first. Like any online casino slot, the demo version is required by the regulators to function exactly like the paid version. This means that the gameplay and pay-out frequency must be the same which means that players can get a proper feel for the game before spending any cash.

Our Guns N’ Roses Review Summary

As with the other Netent Rocks games, Guns N’ Roses looks and plays very well. Although it’s not quite as satisfying to play as the Motorhead slot, or as colorful as Jimi Hendrix, the potentially enormous pay-outs made possible by the Appetite for Destruction feature keep things interesting. And because the slot is of medium variance, cash wins are quite regular.
