Following the approval of its license to become an online casino in Ontario, PointsBet Canada has moved to ink its first sponsorship with the Ottawa Redblacks.
The Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG), which owns the Ottawa Redblacks, has given its complete approval to the transaction.
The sponsorship deal will have the PointsBet Canada logo appearing on the team’s uniform and in and around the team’s home stadium, TD Place. The stadium’s VIP area will also be renamed to the PointsBet Sideline Club, with the operator taking on the role as the franchise’s new presenting sponsor as a result.

On April 4, Ontario officially opened its regulated real money gambling market. PointsBet Canada is one of a growing list of industry titans in the gambling space that has received licenses from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to operate within the region, along with the likes of Rivalry Corporation and 888Casino Holdings.
